Refunds & cancellation
Last updated: [DATE]. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
Cancelling a subscription
- Cancel at any time, free of charge, on the Billing page. You can also cancel in PayPal (Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments) or by emailing support@bookforgestudio.store.
- Cancelling stops all future renewal payments straight away.
- You keep paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that your account moves to the Free plan and nothing more is charged.
- Your projects, exported files and store purchases aren't affected.
Subscription refunds
- Subscription payments, including automatic renewals, aren't refundable once the billing period has started. We don't refund partly used periods or unused export credits.
- If you were charged by mistake (for example, charged twice for the same period, or charged after you cancelled), contact us within 14 days and we'll refund the wrong charge.
- We may give a goodwill refund at our discretion, for example after a long outage. This doesn't create an obligation to do so again.
Store purchases (digital products)
- Faulty files: if a file won't open, is damaged or isn't what the product page described, contact us within 14 days. We'll send a working file or refund you.
- Not yet downloaded: if you haven't downloaded a product, you can ask for a refund within 14 days of buying it.
- Downloaded: because a downloaded file can't be returned, purchases that have been downloaded aren't refundable for a change of mind. This doesn't affect faulty files.
- Duplicate purchases of the same product are refunded.
- When a store order is refunded, it's removed from My library and can no longer be downloaded.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have by law. Consumers in the UK and the European Union generally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once the download starts, if you asked for immediate access and agreed that you lose the right to cancel. Where the law gives you a right to a refund, we'll honour it.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back through PayPal to the account or card you paid with, in US dollars. PayPal usually completes them within a few days. The amount in your own currency may differ from what you paid because of exchange rates.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, PayPal retries it automatically. If it keeps failing, PayPal suspends the subscription and paid features stop until you fix the payment method or subscribe again.
Disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a PayPal dispute or a chargeback. Most problems can be sorted out quickly by email, and a dispute may pause the account while it's reviewed.
How to ask for a refund
Email support@bookforgestudio.store or use the contact form. Include your account email and the order ID (from My library) or the PayPal subscription ID (from Billing). Never send passwords or card details.
