Privacy Policy

This policy explains what BookForge Studio collects when you use the website, the builders, the Publishing Studio, the store and the blog, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, name (optional), a securely hashed password (we can't read it), and when you confirmed your email.
- Publishing Studio (Pro): the book profiles, listing text, A+ Content designs and images you save there, so you can open them again on any device.
- Usage: a record of each interior PDF export (date and result) to count your monthly allowance, and of Studio actions such as uploads and AI requests to apply fair-use limits.
- Subscriptions and orders: your PayPal subscription or order ID, plan or product, amounts, dates, status, and how many times you've downloaded a purchase. PayPal handles your payment details. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
- Support: messages you send through the contact form or by email, with your name and email address.
- Security: IP addresses of logins, sign-ups, password resets and contact-form messages, kept to stop abuse.
What stays on your device
Books you make in the activity-book and color-by-number builders, including their text and images, are saved in your own browser and in any project files you export. They aren't uploaded to our servers.
Why we use it
- To provide the Service: log you in, run the tools, deliver what you buy, and apply plan limits (this is needed to perform our contract with you).
- To take payments and keep accounting and tax records (contract and legal obligations).
- To answer support requests, and send emails you need, such as confirmation codes, receipts and important account or price changes.
- To keep the Service secure and stop fraud and abuse (our legitimate interests).
We don't sell your personal information, don't use your content to train AI models, and don't send marketing emails without your permission.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie (kdpsid) to keep you logged in and protect forms. It's deleted when you close your browser or log out. PayPal sets its own cookies when you use its checkout. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
Who we share it with
- PayPal, to process subscriptions, store payments and refunds.
- Our hosting provider, which runs our servers, database and email.
- Google Fonts, which serves some typefaces in the builders and receives your IP address when they load.
- AI providers, only if you use a built-in AI feature: the details needed for that request are sent to the provider. When you copy one of our prompts into an AI tool yourself, that tool's own privacy policy applies.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards they offer under applicable law.
How long we keep it
- Account, Studio and usage data: until you delete your account.
- Payment and order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (often several years), even after account deletion, without being linked to your login.
- Support messages: while we handle your request, and afterwards only as long as reasonably needed in case you contact us again.
- Security logs: only as long as needed to protect the Service.
Your rights and choices
You can download your account data or delete your account in Account settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to see, correct or object to how we use your data, or to complain to your data protection authority. To use these rights, email support@bookforgestudio.store.
Children
The Service isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, private file storage for purchases and Studio images, and limits on login and form attempts. No online service can be perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes
If we change this policy significantly, we'll tell you by email or in the Service before the change takes effect.
